How drinks work on Virgin Voyages (no packages, by design)
Virgin's pitch is that packages are a mind game — instead, a long list of drinks is simply included in your fare: still and sparkling water, sodas, drip coffee, teas, and non-pressed juices. You only pay for alcohol, specialty coffee, pressed juices, and premium bottled options, with cocktails typically $11-$17 and gratuities already included in every price (no 18-20% add-on at checkout).
Bar Tab is prepaid drink credit that can be shared with your cabin. Virgin sometimes adds promotional bonus credit, but offers vary by booking and sailing. Treat it as a spending tool rather than an unlimited package, and load only what you realistically expect to use because promotional terms can forfeit unused credit.
